David Harp is licensed in California to practice professional land surveying. His public projects have included preparing AutoCAD based topographic maps of 5,000 lineal feet of street improvements for the City of Sausalito Engineering Department, and surveying the mile-long segment of Oak Avenue in San Anselmo for the Marin Municipal Water District Fire Flow Improvement Project, as well as 4000' of street mapping for the Town of San Anslemo in 2010. He provided survey control, ground detail, and aerial mapping for the Marin Discovery Museum at Fort Baker (Marin Headlands), and completed a Sewer Maintenance Project mapping for the whole Town of Sausalito, and Marin City. In the private sector he has provided a wide range of mapping services, mainly in the southern and central Marin region, for architects and homeowners.
David has been an active member in the Marin County Chapter of the California Land Surveyors Association (CLSA) for over three decades, an organization that promotes the highest ideals of professionalism and service to the community. In 2013 he became President of the Marin Chapter of the California Land Surveyors Association for a two year term, his second time holding that chapter office. He is currently one of the most senior members of the Marin County Land Surveyors Association.
David has organized and produced numerous professional seminars on land surveying topics through collaboration with the Marin CLSA bringing in prominent local and national speakers on topics such as boundary surveying and land title analysis. Mr. Harp works primarily in central and southern Marin County offering customized mapping and surveying services for the Marin County property owner.
